This month, Shivya had the privilege of traveling to Phoenix, Arizona, to present FistulaGuard as a finalist at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) 2026. FistulaGuard is a digital sensing device engineered to address critical monitoring gaps in maternal healthcare, specifically supporting the prevention and management of obstetric fistula. The core objective is a low-cost, high-reliability system that tracks physiological indicators of tissue necrosis in real time.
